Hi! I’m Dr. Julie Applewhite

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist dedicated to helping postpartum women rebuild strength and confidently return to the activities they love. I offer both in-person and online coaching to meet you where you are.

My approach is functional and whole-body. I assess the entire kinetic chain to uncover the true root cause of pain or dysfunction—rather than just treating symptoms. Instead of adding separate rehab exercises on top of your existing workouts, I seamlessly integrate them into your current fitness routine. I understand that as a busy mom, your time is limited, so everything we do is designed to be efficient, practical, and sustainable.

Let me help you rebuild strength, restore confidence, and redefine motherhood.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Online physical therapy begins with a one-on-one Zoom consultation with Julie, where she takes the time to understand your symptoms, your current fitness routine, and your goals. This initial session lays the foundation for a truly personalized plan.

From there, you’ll complete a series of guided functional assessments, which you’ll film and upload through the app. Julie carefully reviews your movement patterns to identify the root causes of pain or limitation, then designs a customized rehab program that’s seamlessly integrated into your existing workouts.

Every four weeks, your program is reassessed and progressed to match your improvements and evolving needs.

You’ll also have direct access to Julie between sessions through the app, so you can ask questions, get feedback, and stay on track—eliminating confusion and leading to better, faster results.

  • Because I’m not constrained by the time limits of a traditional physical therapy session, I’m able to take a more thorough, movement-focused approach to your care. Rather than relying on standardized questionnaires or insurance-driven testing that may not reflect real-world function, I prioritize how your body actually moves.

Using video analysis, I can closely observe and even slow down your movements to identify subtle compensations and underlying deficits that are often missed in a clinic setting. This allows for a more accurate assessment—and ultimately, a more effective and personalized plan to help you move and feel your best.

  • Reducing chronic pain is a process that typically takes 3–6 months of consistent, progressive work. Because I’m not limited by traditional visit caps, we can focus entirely on your progress—not arbitrary session limits.

This allows us to adjust and advance your program in real time, ensuring you continue moving forward without interruption. The result is a more effective, individualized approach where your care is guided by your needs and outcomes—not insurance restrictions.
